EMPEROR

Imagen
The Almighty of the northern realms, the black conqueror of our souls, the Emperor that went deep inside our consciousness. That was the band that blasted our faces in the ear lies 90’s, changing the Black Metal into something greater, spiritual, symphonic, pure art transcending from the metal or the music in general. You can figure it out some young people listening to Death Metal and early Black Metal stuff discovering the first time “I’m the Black Wizard”. A feeling of cold darkness took them directly to the old Norwegian woods. The Nature, the Ancient Ones, the Earth, sung together through the hordes of Ihsahn, Samoth, Tchort, Faust (Mortiis and others). The rest is history and probably you know it. If not don’t lose one minute and search it! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emperor_(band) My generation was totally influenced by the band. “In the Nightside Eclipse”, with the pure black metal feeling, great music, lyrics and artwork. “Anthems to the Welkin at Dusk” with so...

Inflikted - The Cavalera Conspirancy

Wow!! Since “Chaos A.D.” album I have lost my interest in the projects of brothers Cavalera. After some exciting years of excellent trash/death albums (Schizophrenia, Beneath the remains and Arise), the worldwide success injured the creativity of Sepultura. Under my point of view, they make some good songs at Roots and with the individual projects, but never again with the old excellent level. Different, hard trash/death of Brasil, with great energy and songs for Metal History, like “Inner Self” or “Arise”. They were near the throne of Slayer but finally felt in their own success. But something has changed this year. I came from Barcelona listening to a worried radio show until they announced an interview with Igor Cavalera. In a good Spanish Igor commented his new project with his brother, “The Cavalera Conspirancy”. I’m very surprised and happy with the news. I bought the album as soon as it was at the stores. Wow! Direct songs, with guttural Max’s voice, infernal rhythms from Igor,...

Wolves in the throne room

Wolves in the throne room Había perdido toda esperanza..... El "Diadem of 12 Stars" me ha reconciliado con el Black épico que me lleva a otras épocas y otras vidas..... 1 Queen of the Borrowed Light (12:58) 2 Face in a Night Time Mirror, Pt. 1 (13:...
