Virando costas au mundo, orgullosamente sos Gloria antiga, volta a nooooooooss Alma mater! Increible recital de Moonspell en Barcelona. El vintage tour ha valido la pena. Desde que en el lejano ya 1995 di con Wolfheart Moonspell siempre se ha contado entre mis bandas favoritas. Prefiero su vertiente más metálica, pero su parte gótica es de lo mejor de la escena. El Wolfheart es uno de los discos que más he escuchado en mi vida, tiene la magia, la potencia, el sentimiento, el embrujo y la fuerza. No podía perderme el show de los fantásticos portugueses y allí estuve. Llegamos a media actuación de Helevorn (por cierto prometen). Enseguida se creó el ambiente en una sala Salamandra prácticamente llena (gracias Jordi por traer estos grupazos). La gente estaba con ganas de un concierto de calidad y así lo vivió. El público participó creando la magia, cantando, headbangeando, saltando, haciendo coros....fue bestial... Desde que apareció el lobo y Fernando (como estupendo frontman) se empe...

DOOOOMMM! A lot of years ago, Black Sabbath started something they really weren’t aware of their grandiosity and deepness, something which touch your feelings and make the music an important part of your life. For some circumstances I didn’t choose, I finally went ALONE to the show at MEPHISTO, but I really recommend that. It is a way to enjoy a deep listening of the Doom Metal show, putting all the attention to the music and all the details and, in addition, connecting with deep feeling inside of you. It was the first time I went to that place in the centre of Poblenou, a strange industrial area of Barcelona. I arrived a little bit late and I can not attend to the show of Moonlop, a local act. ¡Heavy Metal! Existen buenas bandas, bandas que emocionan, bandas de las que eres fan, que van y vienen durante tu vida y existe IRON MAIDEN. Les sigo desde “Somewhere in Time”, cuando con trece años descubrí lo grande que es el Metal. Desde entonces (más al principio) Maiden siempre ha estado ahí. Aunque luego me he ido por otros derroteros (Trash, Death y Black Metal), Maiden ha sido siempre, el anclaje, el referente de toda esta historia. Con catorce años quedábamos para ver el “Live after death” en vídeo en las casas de los amigos, con el escándalo de nuestras madres, ¿qué ruido es ese? ¡Vaya pintas¡. Cuando Churchill empezaba el discurso que daba entrada a Access High se nos ponía la piel de gallina…..¡Qué grandes! Lo curioso es que esa sensación aún me acompaña. Antes de ver la película volví a Maiden, a “Killers” a “Powerslave” a “Number of the Beast” y a “Piece of Mind”, sobre todo a este último, que gran disco aunque haya tardado años en apreciarlo. Sus riffs y melodías forma...

Prácticamente llena, la sala Apolo de Barcelona esperaba a los Opeth, una de las formaciones más originales, interesantes y complejas del Metal actual. Aperitivo con Oceanic (correctos y con detalles interesantes) y Cynic (personalmente no me gustó, creo que es de los grupos que amas o que odias). Con cierto retraso llego el momento tan esperado. Empezaron con “Heir Apparent” y desde allí nos volvimos locos con su death progresivo, con sus intermezzos acústicos, con su fuerza. Gateways of Bereavement! After a good Fintroll Folk Metal crazy show Katatonia appeared. They wear black dresses and black soul. It was a fantastic show that takes us to the deepest of our emotions. Katatonia are one of my favourite acts of all times. They have a great mix of darkness, feeling, cold and good music. They have created a great Palace of Frost and from that place shows to the world the dark side. Melodic intermezzos, crying voices, guttural screaming and superb guitars are part of Katatonia. They go far away of the music, they are pure feeling. I like to be depressing with their music. Jonas Renkse and Anders Nyström are masters. A grey cold day, full of rain is the better one to listen to this band and dance with December Souls. They arrive to Barcelona to present Viva Emptiness, another “magna opus”. They started with “Ghost of The Sun” (superb Nyström screaming) and “Sleeper”. They follow with their better songs from “Last Fair Deal Gone Down”, “Tonight’s Decision” and...

Trata de abstraerte de los que te rodean, salvo tus más queridos seres. Trata de abstraerte de toneladas de materiales con que acabarán el templo. Dejar volar tu espíritu por ese espacio tangible y onírico a la par. Es sin duda un sueño, es luz en todos sus tonos, es policromía para el alma. Observa la naturaleza trazada en cada rincón, las personas, plantas, flores imposibles unidas en la piedra, plasmando la harmonía universal. Atraviesa sus puertas llenas de nombres y míralas sin leer. Deja fuera lo cotidiano, lo superfluo y entra en ese mundo imaginario que cuestiona los límites de lo real.
